It was the last project our dad started before he passed from earth to his heavenly home.
He was a man full of vision and this vision was that his entire family could sit at one long table for family dinners. The 50’ porch that spans across the back of the honeymoon suite overlooking the canal side of Baytree Lakes was completed months after his death by family members and tradesmen who knew him for many years. Dad was a builder by trade and building really was his life work; dreams, relationships and of course the literal- homes, churches, anything really.
The back porch is now a constant reminder of his love for family and togetherness. Many times a year we gather for special occasions, some of them calendar events, some created by the minds of his offspring.
Beautiful tablescapes have become the norm, mostly curated by Dianne, his oldest daughter. Delectables are a joint effort with queen of the kitchen, Mom as lead chef.
